Anne Chmelewsky was born in Sevres (France) in 1984. She soon began to show a keen interest in music, especially improvisation, and began to study piano at the age of 5 whilst living in Poland.

In 1994, she moved to Paris, where she was accepted into the Marcel Dupré Conservatoire, where she studied piano and ballet for 4 years. In 1998 she moved away from home to Suffolk in the U.K..

It was soon after this move that Anne developed an interest in composing and arranging for her school orchestra, which earned her the "St.Felix School Composition Prize" three years running. After finishing her "A" levels, she was awarded the "Southwold Music Society Prize", and moved to London to study composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Alessandro Timossi, and more recently, Eric Crees

She composed the music for The Guildhall Drama production of Shakespeare’s "The Merchant Of Venice", and actively co-heads the school’s society for new music.

Anne is particularly interested in writing film music and composing for brass.
